Hi,
A very succesful update on a page with lots of informations about great Eights.
Good to see 8mR "Ierne" sailno H17 back in shape.
To my knowledge she was the last 8mR constructed by Fairlie in 1914 before WWI, and the first 8mR with Bermuda sail plan, designed by W.Fife & Son.
She was sold to Noway during WWI and is listed in KNS annual register 1917 with owner Kristoffer Olsen, Kristiania (Oslo).
She raced in the old 8mR class in the Olympics in 1920 were she won gold for Norway.
Please correct me if any of this information is wrong.
